LUBE OIL SYSTEMS -CUSTOM DESIGN- FOR 2 BOILER FEED WATER PUMPS IN NAVOI PLANT (UZBEKISTAN)

G.T.RIVI was contracted by an important japanese pump constructor for manufacturing the lube oil systems of two boiler feed water pumps and motors. The final destination is Navoi Power Station in Uzbekistan. The lubrication system have been supplied on December 2010.

Spain’s Initec was the awarder of tender of the Uzbekenergo state joint-stock company to modernize Navoi thermoelectric power station with the cost of 450 million euros.


In line with the competition terms, Initec will construct combined-cycle plant at the Navoi station with the capacity of 477 megawatt. The project was started in the fourth quarter of 2009.
The project will be financed due to the resources of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan and own resources of Uzbekenergo, gazeta.uz reported.
Modernization of Navoi thermoelectric power station will provide electricity to Navoi free industrial and economic zone.
Navoi thermoelectric power station was built in 1963 for energy supply of Kyzylkum region. It is one of the largest power stations in Central Asia. Its capacity is equal to 1,250 megawatt.
Uzbekistan power system has 42 power stations, including 11 thermoelectric power stations with the total capacity of 9,870 megawatt and 31 hydro power stations with the capacity of 1,700 megawatt.

The country produces 48 million K.W.H. of electricity a year. About 77% of total electricity produced at the thermoelectric power stations.

The lube oil systems for pumps what provides water to boilers have been designed in accordance with customer preferences. The system is drop in type, that means is included on pump skid. The main characterstics are:
- Flow rate of oil pumps : 90 lpm
- Outlet pressure : 1.5 barg
- Temperature of oil supplied : 45ºC
- Heat Exchanger is CuNi 90/10 tubes (water-oil tube&sheet type), inlet temperature of water 31.5ºC
- Main oil pump is shaft-driven, auxiliary pump is motor driven (3 kW)
- Level transmitter for oil level control into the tank
- Filtration degree is 100 microns
- A differential pressure transmitter monitors the clogging level in the filter
- Temperature control by indicators and thermostats are capilar type.
- Pressure switches (Cella PCM2 type) control the outlet pressure in the header
- Quality of materials in Carbon Steel (tank, oil piping) and SS316 for instrumentation tubing
- A panel gauge is installed in the operator side for an easily visualitation of all parameters of lube oil system

RIVI MANUFACTURE LUBE OIL SYSTEMS FOR SEVERAL APPLICATIONS

RIVI are going to deliver for the next week more Lube Oil Systems. In this case, the machine include an oil heater system consist on:

- Electrical Heaters, calculated for the proper heat transfer to increase the temperature of oil inside the tank, and go down the viscosity (very important for the start-ups, because the oil is usually too cold).

- Thermal Oil Reservoir.

- Thermowells for heaters containing Thermal Oil.

- Shut-off valves and tubing (stainless steel).

Through this system, the temperature is transferred smoothly, more equilibrate and uniformly.

The lube oil system shows in the picture is going to install for lubricate a Pilger Machine in an important Pipe Manufacture.

RIVI manufacture 3off L.O.S. FOR POWER PLANT PUMPS

We are happy in RIVI for the next deliver of Lube Oil Systems (3 units) manufacturing according to API and more requirements. L.O.S. are going to assemble for BOOSTER PUMPS, and STARTUP BOILER FEEDWATER PUMPS, and final destination will be a Power Plant in U.S.A.

This units are accomplished to:

- ASME 16.5, Pipes Flanges ANSI 150 lbs.

- ASME B16.34 for threaded elements.

- ASME B16.11, Forges Steel Fittings, Socket Welding.

- ASME B16.25, Buttwelding Ends.

- ASME IX for weldings and weld procedures qualifications.

The systems include:

- Pressure switches, pressure gages and flow indicator for the discharge oil lubrication.

- A differential pressure indicating for each duplex oil filter.

- Lube Oil Piping have been constructed of Type AISI 316L.

- The lube oil cooler have been constructed of AISI 316.

- Wiring and conduit have been constructed in accordance with UL and NFPA.

FABRICACIÓN DE SISTEMA DE LUBRICACIÓN

La pasada semana la compañía RIVI suministró un equipo completo para lubricación de reductores en una importante compañía siderurgica situada en el país vasco. El sistema, compuesto de tanque de aceite de 12.000 lts y sistema de bombeo de 660 lts/min, integraba un perfecto sistema de prefiltración de aceite en la zona de retorno, de 200 micras y placa de calmado para favorecer la desaireación y eliminar turbulencias indeseadas en la zona de control de nivel y aspiración de bombas. Las bombas de husillos (2+1) para suministro de aceite lubricante y el conjunto de componentes para control de temperatura y presión del sistema, fueron ensamblados en bancada de acero carbono separada del depósito principal.
